Karsten Loof  was born 1967 in the heart of the Ruhr Valley, spent there its childhood and lives now for several years in Diez at the Lahn. He is married and has a daughter.
The artist photographed rarely in color, he prefers classical sw-sounds.
All films become develop of it personal dark chamber . "My films see no machines" he says.
In Karsten Loofs photography rarely are found overdressed models , but rather usually "persons of next door". He finds its models actually on the street, in coffeebars, at the barber or at the doctor and in last time he receives also inquires over the internet.
